Healing & Reconciliation: Tips for Mending Relationships

We believe when someone harms us we believe they owe us something—an apology, change of behavior, or whatever else it is. We hold it against them and do not let it go because we expect to do it when the person pays us back in the way we feel we deserve.

God calls us to let those things go because first we are called to forgive as we have been given. Additionally, when we harbor that unforgiveness, we have no room to receive the joy God has in store for us.

When it comes to mending relationships among cultures, we need to get society’s attention and make people believe it may actually be a problem. The second part of this is that we need to convince people to realize that this is a problem, if left unattended, that will have huge consequences.

We want to be live this out as Christians to be the light in this world of countless broken relationships that are left unattended to fester in people’s lives.
