Lightshed Table Talk #03 – Millennials – “Overcoming Blindspots”
Dr. Rick Langer and Dr. Tim Muehlhoff

Millennnials can become more dynamic and mature individuals by Overcoming Blindspots like our lack of perseverance, fear of being judgmental, and idolization of kids.

The first blindspot that according to Forbes Magazine, on average, millennials switch jobs every two years. This means many of us never become a true expert in any field. Aristotle says, “Pleasure accompanies any activity done well.” Thus, a hidden side effect of constantly switching jobs is that we deny ourselves that pleasure. Another blindspot is the fear of being judgmental and offending people because we don’t want to be called narrow-minded and self-righteous. Being judgmental is not a good thing, but clear, moral discernment is a good thing. Being a mature Christian means being able to pursue what is holy and articulating, defending and applying our morality well.
